Miriam Stern, MSW, LCSW is the Founder and Executive Director of Meridian Counseling Services. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Miriam works with adults and has advanced training addictions, Trauma-informed care, grief and loss, Anxiety Disorders, Postpartum Mood Disorders, and LGBTQIA+. She has advanced training in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and is certified in Clinical Supervision and EMDR Level II. She has guest-lectured on Motivational Interviewing, Assessing and Treating Mental Illness and Substance Abuse, and Treating Trauma at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Rutgers University, and The Richard Stockton College. She has also presented to other psychotherapists on Treating Trauma, Motivational Interviewing, and Treating Postpartum Depression. Miriam’s writings on Communication and Boundaries have been published in a Peer Support Program training manual.
